Scum

Ivan Ovchinnikov mejor conocido como Scum es un rapero ruso-estadounidense de Denver , Colorado, Es reconocido por sus letras extremadamente violentas, grotescas y temáticas de terror. Scum y la escena musical underground han sido inseparables desde 1996. Sus estilos cambian con los años, pero su vida ha sido y siempre serán dedicados a hacer algunas de las más inquietantes, impactante y agresiva música posible. Empezó haciendo death metal después de mudarse a Colorado en 1995 de Moscú, Rusia, donde nació y se crió. Luego, en 1999, cuando sintió que su Inglés ha mejorado lo suficiente como para escribir rimas él comenzó a rapear, uniéndose DJ Sevill para formar DL (Denver Lowlifes) y la grabación de su primer demo "On The Edge". Esta grabación de baja calidad mostró que a pesar de la entrega y las rimas de Scum estaban lejos de ser perfecto, pero el contenido era tan profano y ofensivo que motivo a Scum para continuar en el rap y asi ganó sus primeros fans. En el año 2000 Scum se unió a otro artista local para formar LNG y fundó Lyrikal Snuff Productionz. Ya para el 2001 en el estudio y a principios de 2002, la primera liberación oficial - "Lyrikal Snuff" de LNG fue en las tiendas en todo Colorado. Debido a su contenido gráfico y violento el CD fue prohibido por una variedad de tiendas por lo que es muy difícil de distribuir. Poco después del lanzamiento el dúo se separó en medio de la grabación de su segundo lanzamiento "Murderous Intentionz" que nunca fue terminado.

Scum coloco el GoreHop (autoproclamado estilo de Scum) en el mapa! y su  base de fans creció, Al igual que sus liricas y skills.
